Jon Scieszka is a guy who writes books — funny books.
Mr. Scieszka is one of six Scieszka brothers who grew up "wrestling in the living room, fighting at the dinner table, and tying up the babysitter." In class we have the hilarious 'Knucklehead' - Jon Scieszka's autobiography about his childhood. Enjoy the book by yourself or with a buddy. Then put on your thinking cap. Even if you've never had your brother try to sell you your own shirt or tied a sibling to a bed, you have a family story to tell. Your family history, your heritage, is more than just dates and places. There are stories to be told and retold.
Here is your challenge: Write a recount describing something funny that has happened to you. Keep it short - just a few sentences is plenty, BUT BEWARE, only those with capital letters and fullstops will be published on our blog. Good luck!

At the island I slept with my dog Odi and when Mum woke up she saw me lying on the floor and Odi had the bed to himself.

Aw, Libby! That is so cute and funny. What a cheeky dog you have. Well done with your capital letters - even at the start of the names.

We went out and waited for our fish and chips and Kate went and hugged someone thinking it was Dad.
